Geocache Description:

Park at N 41 44.482 W 072 30.157. It’s always a good idea to bring a pen or a pencil when you cache. This series has two bonus caches. You’ll need to find the letters (therefore numbers) in some of the caches in the series. The first is N 41 44.ABC, W 072 30.DEF and the second is - N 41 44.HIJ, W 072 30.KLM. Most in the series are match stick holders and I’ll let you know of the exceptions. Perhaps one of the best-known places to mountain bike in Connecticut is Case Mountain. It would be easy to assume its popularity is due to its location and accessibility right off route 384 in Manchester (close to the center of the state), but that's only half the story. The other half of the story goes something like "lung busting climbs, amazing views, extremely technical riding and hucks (jumping off boulders, etc) galore". A few years back Bicycling Magazine went so far as to rate Case as the best place to ride in CT. Since you’re not likely to be familiar with the many trails, you may want to download a track of the cache series (GPX) here http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/3809401. The 9 mile route of mostly intermediate / expert single-track with some fire roads but not much. Beginners and most young children may be able to ride 70% of the route and walk the tough sections. I’ve ridden here for more than 15 years so I knew the trails were beautiful but didn’t realized just how beautiful they really were until the day I walked it to lay out these caches. Most mountain bikers tend to be courteous enough to not actually run you over but I do suggest that you give them a wide berth because you’ll likely hear them before they see you – and some of these riders really whip around fast.
