This cache has been archived.

Wis Kid: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Cache located in Rosendale Cemetery - the main cemetery for the town. It is a two part cache hunt. Way points are a short distance from the roadway. WINTER NOTICE: the only well plowed road is the outer roadway. You may have to walk further in snow covered times. Boots would be a good idea!

Come enjoy my hometown cemetery. I learned to ride my bike here and my grandparents and father are buried here. I grew up just down the road and spent many hours here. Guess this is where I gained my love of cemeteries.

Way points will lead you to my great uncle Jesse's grave. He was an important citizen of Rosendale. He owned Sisson's Peonies (now a National Historic Site) and Sisson's Typewriter Shop across the road. He helped many people in town and was a Boy Scout leader for many, many years. I believe he received an award for 75 years in Boy Scouts. He created a number of new peony varieties - my favorite is named Tinka, after his daughter.

Once you locate Jesse's grave - look for his daughter Tinka's grave. To find the cache - you will need to find her birthdate:

Month of Tinka's birth = A
Date of Tinka's birth = B
