Who Needs An Excuse ANYWAY? Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

JJG10101: Okay, it's probably time to close the book on this one. Many thanks to everyone that attended, and I truly appreciate the kind words about various aspects of the event. I'd say Geo-Bingo was quite the hit. :-) Most people are saying they wish it could've lasted longer. I'd agree. Maybe next time(!) I'll create a bigger grid or offer a prize for anyone that completes the whole thing.

If you picked up a travel bug or geocoin at the event, don't forget to log it. If you picked up some extra silverware (like cache_in_pocket), tell no one! See you at a future event or on the trail.--JJ

Geocache Description:

An excuse for an event? No way! Geocachers celebrate all sorts of things with events--major holidays, the different seasons, even celestial happenings (see GC14BCV).

So, what's different about this event? Maybe a few things, but you can expect lots of meeting, greeting, and yes, eating. We'll start off with a simple game to unload some excess geocoins. Those things are really starting to jam up my mailbox. ;-) The game starts at 5:30 P.M. sharp; don't be late. After that, we'll eat dinner, meet up with friends old and new, and catch up on the latest. As always, we'll have a table set up for bug trading, coin discovery, and winning lottery tickets. Uh, maybe not that last part.

DATE: Saturday, October 13, 2007
TIME: 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
LOCATION: Pat & Oscars in "The Market Place," Tustin; for more info about the restaurant, click here.

Bring your appetite and tall tales of geocaching wonder. It's fall, cooking on weekends is a chore, and then there's... oh, Who Needs An Excuse ANYWAY? See you there!

"We are ready for any unforeseen event that may or may not occur."--Dan Quayle
