Dog Leg Canal Traditional Cache
belle610: After almost 7 years and 180 finds it is time to retire this cache. There are not many old fashion ammo box caches left but unfortunately I am getting ready to leave the area so it does not make sense to replace the box that was swept away in the flood. This is a great spot hopefully someone will establish a replacement.

Park in the paved lot but look for the unpaved trail. Public restrooms available at the parking lot.
The theme for this cache is GPS III in honor of the new satellites that are being sent up in the coming years. The initial stash includes items related to the new satellites for the first few cachers and I will periodically try to update with new items and hope others can trade for similar GPS (or satellite related) items. Though you are very close to "Do you canoe?" (GCJFEQ), you can't get from one to the other without getting wet.
