Geocache Description:

This is a nice hike in an area that I think is overlooked. This is in a tupperware container NOTE I FORGOT A ZIPLOCK BAG FOR THE LOG CAN THE FTF BRING ONE? This is a nice hike that is not two steep maybe? Well worth the effort it looks out on the Canaan Valley as well as Dolly Sods.

We took A Frame Road off Rt93, although this cache can be conqured from lots of directions AKA Dolly Sods near Bear rocks Dimple Cache, Forest Rd 80 if you are scared of a little vertical exercise. We took Cabin Mountain Trail in the National Wildlife Refuge. Check the trail name changes its 1.2 miles from the parking lot lol. If you take A frame road make sure you have a high clearance auto, you do not need a 4wdr but there are some rough spots. The view is excellent if I do say so myself. Lookout for snakes and bears if it is warm they may be lurking around. Check out the beaver pond on the way up! It was pretty dry but I would suggest waterproof hiking boots if it has rained in 24 hrs. This is a small cache and at the moment there are no goodies in there yet. We name it Blackbird Cache in the log but after looking at some maps there is no name for this area. I will be putting in a Blackbird cache next week. FTF? Enjoy WV MacDaddy
