Volga River State Recreation Area
This is either a long walk or a steep walk depending on which trail you take, but in the end you can sit and eat your lunch while enjoying the view. Remember, CITO
Stick to the trail and hear the frogs "holler."
Check to see if any hunting seasons are open as public hunting is allowed in many areas of the park.
This cache site has been approved and a permit granted by the Iowa DNR.
Recreation trail maps are available on the Iowa DNR website. Parking at N42 52.842 W91 46.775 gets you right on the trail, but there is a steep climb.
Bug repellant is suggested.
Cache container is a 50 cal. ammo box.
