L.U.R.E. 1: NLIG Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

ODragon: It is with a heavy heart that I archive this listing. We were in the area today and did some walking around, talked do someone working there, etc.

I was able to find out that they fixed a key part of this cache that made it fun and interesting. Getting to it from the fun way is also near impossible also.

All of that and the timeline for fixing it is unknown. As such, I was able to pick up the ammo and and remove it from the area.

The cache is not at the given location however, it is within feet of parking so route to it!

L.U.R.E.: Letterboxes, Under Represented Entertainment

This is the first of hopefully a series of Letterboxes that are slightly different from the norm. They will contain interesting containers, stamps, places or just weird things. Letterboxes are an interesting category of caches that can be anything as long as it has a stamp (and enough GPSr usage). If you enjoyed this, go put out a letterbox, just please don't steal my acronym.

Please note: This cache is placed in such a way that you may see spiders, snakes, raccoons, mice and rats. It is dark, dank, wet and slippery. You may have trouble with this cache if your waist is above a 50. I would strongly recommend that you do this cache with someone else. Doing it alone can be dangerous. Do not do this after rain!

This letterbox is a day/night cache meaning it should be done in the day but make sure you bring a flashlight. You will need it to safely find the cache.

At the above coordinates you will find a green sign. You will need to use the cipher image, (print this and take it, it's much easier), to give you information you need to find the letter box as well as the info to project a way point to the next stage.

From the sign project a waypoint A.BC miles at a bearing of DE.
A = 7th digit of the first phone number
B = 2nd number on the sign
C = 2nd number on the sign
D = 1st + 2nd number on the sign
E = 1st + 2nd number on the sign

2009-05-12 Update: Please ignore the instructions in the letterbox. The letterbox is the final stage. Signing the log will get you a smile! The letterbox will also include information about NLIG, and things that would be a spoiler.

Finally, I'll make this request. This is a different cache for the area, it is slight harder than the average park and grab. It is meant to be a different experience for cachers of this area. Optimal group for this cache would consist of two or three people. My last request would be that every one in the group do all parts of the cache. Hanging out and waiting for the rest of the group isn't really a find for this kind of cache. If you don't experience it, what's the point!

Trade Items:This cache contains new and used DVDs. These are cheap older DVDs. Please trade out my old DVDs for you old DVDs. If you'd like to trade out old one for a nice new one, that's cool too! These are the only thing not trackable I'd like to see left in the cache.
