Another Tibby Cache in Lord Hill Park. This one replaces Quarry
Trail 2.0, placed by mohai. We were up here retrieving the
container for him, and decided to go ahead and replace the cache
with one of our own. The location is a bit different, but it still
gives you a good excuse to hike the Quarry Trail.
The main entrance and parking are at N 47 51.684 W 122 03.501.
Look for the signs for the turn off onto 127th Ave SE from the Old
Monroe-Snohomish Highway. However, this cache may be more easily
reached from the southern entrance, off Tester Road. For more
information on the park, visit the
county website. or the Friends of Lord Hill website.
Trail maps can be found at those websites, or, usually, at the main
park entrance. Be warned, however, that not all trails in the park
can be found on the map. Many trails in the park are open to
mountain bikes and horses, although some are restricted to hikers.
Pets should be on leash.
The cache is a small-ish lock-n-lock, shaped like a slightly
stout pop can. As with all our caches, it can be reached from the
trail, and absolutely no bushwacking is necessary. The hints
provide a description of the cache location, if you're having
trouble finding it.
