En stuga på månen.
Konstnären Michael Genberg har givit världen Hotell Hackspett (hotell 13 meter upp i en trädkrona i Vasaparken, Västerås) och Hotell Utter Inn (hotell 3 m under vattenytan i Mälaren, Västerås). Hans senaste projekt heter Lunar Resort, målet är att kunna få upp en liten röd stuga på månen. I Västerås finns nu en installation av Michael Genberg som visar hur Lunar Resort kommer att se ut.

Projekt Luna Resort handlar i första hand om att flytta gränser.
Sammantaget förenar projektet en människas konstnärliga ambitioner med kommersiella marknadskrafter, politisk framåtanda, vetenskapliga forskningsbehov och teknisk spetskompetens inom en rad olika områden.

Luna Resort bidrar till att placera Sverige i rampljuset, och där visa på svensk initiativkraft och att Sverige står för högteknologisk kompetens i absolut världsklass. Luna Resort kommer att bestå av flera integrerade projekt med tekniska och vetenskapliga ändamål.

A cottage on the moon.
The artist Michael Genberg’s earlier contributions to the world include: Hotel Hackspett – a hotel situated in a tree 13 meters above the ground in the Vasa park, Västerås; Hotell Utter Inn – a hotel placed 3 meters below the surface of Lake Mälaren, Västerås. His latest project – named Lunar Resort – aims to place a small red cottage of the surface of the moon. An installation showing what the Lunar Resort will look like on the moon is now viewable in Västerås.

The project has united a man’s artistic ambitions with commercial market powers, political enterprises, scientific research and technical cutting edge competence with many different areas.

Luna Resort contributes to the placing of Sweden in the limelight, and to display there Swedish forces of initiative showing that Sweden stands for world class competence in high technology. Luna Resort will contain a number of integrated projects of technical and scientific purpose.
