Geocache Description:

This is a County Forest with excellent walking and riding trails good for all ages and families

The first planting of trees was carried out a the Northeast part of the Hendrie Main Tract on May 8, 1922. The Cairn and Plaque at that location was dedicated 15 years later in
1937. From 1922 to 1927 a total of 1,344,600 trees was planted. Much of the early planting was Scotch Pine imported from Europe. Natural regeneration of Maple, Ash,
Basswood, Oak, and White Pine is promoted under the shelter of both Scotch Pine and Jack Pine. Red Squirrels, common inhabitants of Pine Forests are valuable distributors of
Oak and Pine Seed.These Forests also are resident to Ruffed Grouse, varying Hare, Piliated Wood Peckers and and many song birds.

This Cache is a Small size screw top container with camouflage tape with small trading items when placed.
