Geocache Description:

YEP,THATS RIGHT, THIS THING HOLDS TEN MILLION GALLONS

This area is part of the O.H.Ivey to Abilene pipeline for water for Abilene from the O.H.Ivey Reservoir. Built just a few years ago this is the main accumullation station between the Ivey pump station and Abilene with a 36 inch (three foot diameter) pipeline going in and out. Now THAT'S a LOT of water! Of course we Abileneians use a lot of water and maybe waste a little too much as well. Conserve when you can. We gave the terrain a 2.5 because it is just off a US highway and just coming out of a pretty good curve so you may want to park a little farther down and walk back to the cache. You know how we Texans LOVE to drive on the shoulder of the road to let that #@%*hole (tailgater) behind us get by. We didn't making the hide but we were in the "Gray Goat" (4x4) and were able to get completely off in the grass.
