Geocache Description:

So you are in Ciobiskis and need to cross the river Neris. Will you choose one of the bridges near Vievis or Jonava? Or will you jump across?

No way, you will definitely choose a cable ferry. Being the only one in Lithuania this river flow driven ferry will carry two regular cars or one van or maybe about 100 bicycles across the river in no more than 5 minutes. One way trip will only cost you 3 Litas which is a hairpin above $1, US. Come enjoy this piece of engineering.

Ciobiskis is a nice clean town near the Muse and Neris confluence. Go check the nice bridge over Muse named after Darius and Girenas, the first Lithuanian pilots who crossed the Atlantic.

The cache is hidden near the ferry on the right bank of the river. Lots of sea buckthorn bushes around it. The berries are delicious. Not sure if the berries are still there, Nastiusha reported the scenery had changed in December 2014. Appreciate her assistance with the new container installation.
