A cache located near the Swansea Dam. Bring a pen or pencil to sign the log with.
The Swansea Dam is located at the corner of Main Street and Gardners Neck Road at the start of the Swansea Village. The dam is very picturesque when it is flowing, but has been very quiet lately due to the lack of rain. There are still hungry ducks, durkeys and geese around so bring some bread with you! There may also be some folks fishing so beware of muggles. Cache is less than 100 feet from the parking lot; should take less than 10 minutes to do.
Parking is available in a dirt lot just west of the dam. The cache is located in the small roadside park and not on the school side. It is almost a park and grab. Cache is kid friendly, but PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON SMALL CHILDREN NEAR THE EDGE OF THE DAM AND POND. The water is deep and there are plants to get tangled in.
NOTE: We recommend you avoid this area weekdays from 7-7:30 a.m. and 1:45-2:15 p.m. during the school year. It is a zoo. Lots of muggles and mugglemobiles.
