Kaqunup?mawa: The Sparks Of The Sun Traditional Cache

Kaqunup?mawa is the Chumash name of the sun, which literally translated means "The radiance of the child born on the twenty-fourth of December."

The Sun carries a torch across the sky of tightly rolled bark to light the world.  After his daily journey, he snaps his torch to throw sparks which are the stars and planets in the night sky.
