Geocache Description:

The Non-native series introduces the cacher to some of the non-native or invasive plants in the DuPage County Forest Preserves

Dupage FPD Website

This cache will take the cacher though a wonderful (I am being sarcastic here) patch of Reed Canary Grass otherwise known as Phalaris arundinacea. This non-native grass has been known to form large colonies in wetter areas. The seeds can spread quickly allowing the plant to take over natural areas. As you approach the location of this cache, you will see how it makes it difficult for the native plants from growing.

Watch out for poison ivy. It likes to grow here as well!
