Higgo's Hole Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Goofster: TMNP has closed off the Glencoe Quarry with a double-padlocked steel gate, and it seems the site is only accessible when climbers are practising their sport. Since entry to the quarry can no longer be guaranteed, I am archiving this one. I will make periodic visits to the site until such time as I can retrieve the cache. Thankfully, no TB's or geocoins in it to go "missing in action".

Geocache Description:

If you’re lucky, you’ll spot the owl in this quaint little spot!

This is a popular spot for city-bowl dog owners, so please use stealth during peak ‘walkies’ times. Needless to say, your furry friends may provide you with useful cover as you stalk the quarry. Watch where you step, though, as the area is quite wet underfoot during winter. The cache contains items traded out of local caches, as well as some clay pipe shards scavenged from a local beach. This cache is recommended for day-time hunting only.

Satellite reception might degrade as you approach Ground Zero, but it shouldn't be too difficult to spot the hiding place from the front door.
