For six years I walked up and down this trail to get to school
during my Elementary years. Not to mention the countless times I
climbed up it only to slide down on my crazy carpet. Alot has
changed here since the mid 1980's... There is alot of over-growth
now, the main trail used to be a good five or six feet wide. And
strangly, it seems that the wooded areas on either side of the
trail have thinned out, I recall them being alot thicker with bush
and trees. Maybe it's just because I'm grown up now, who knows?
The cache shouldn't be too hard to locate once in the right
area. After a few minutes I was able to get a reading that offered
an accuracy of 9 meters on my Garmin Etrex. I left the cache site
numerous times and returned to verify my readings just to be on the
safe side as the trees might mess with your signal. The cache is
packed with little games, a pen light, glow-in-the-dark stars,
generic key rings, and a few other goodies.
Parking is available on both sides of the trail (it runs north /
south). The South side is a dead-end (Marmac Dr) and the North side
is a traffic circle (Clearview Cres).
Note: The path may be a little slick at times if
there is any moisture on the ground. Please use caution when
ascending / descending on the main trail.
Additional notes about the Cache:
- Cache had a pencil in it when it was placed.
- Please re-hide the Cache better then you found it.
- Exercise caution when in the area.
Thanks & enjoy!
