We are aware that the company that owns the turbine runner is moving away from this location in 2 months, and it is rumoured that the existing office is to be demolished for the site to be redeveloped, therefore it is likely the object will be moved, so sadly, it is time for the cache to go.

If the runner appears somewhere else, we will consider a new placement.

After 62 years of service, this turbine runner was retrieved from the Arapuni Power Station.
It commemorates the role of the pioneers of Hydro Electrical Generation in New Zealand, and their achievements in developing the hydro potential of the Waikato River.

6,000,000,000 Kilo Watt hours of electrictry was generated from this turbine runner between 1929 and 1991.
It turned at the speed of 214 RPM.

Please respect the environment here, and do not step onto the garden. You will not find the cache there.

Difficulty rating - varies - If you have seen this hide before (becoming common) it's easy. For those used to traditional boxes, this is camoflagued and more difficult.
