The Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve is situated opposite the Howic Falls.
Six walking trails will take you to different parts in this reserve. There are about 270 bird species and a long list of Animals such as Giraffe, Leopard, Zebra, Kudu ext.
The Umgeni Valley Reserve also give Enviromental Education Courses.
All visitors need to pay at reception; R11.00 pp and R6.00 for kids.

The cache will bring you to the View Site from the Umgeni Valley towards the Albert Falls Dam. The cache can be reached by parking some 250m from the cache. It affords good views of the river and animals in the valley far below.
The cache is a 1.5 rectangular container.
