Geocache Description:

“INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST”

The Indiana Spirit Quest series of geocaches will take you to a number of historic cemeteries built by Hoosier Pioneers. In just two years, the quest has grown to over four hundred fifty caches hidden in Indiana, as well as Ohio and Michigan, and the hiders have grown to over twenty-five cacher teams, most of which of which are comprised of Dogs and their Humans. Over 1,000 cacher teams have logged over 12,000 finds. One of many cache machines found 102 ISQ caches in a single day (daylight hours only).

INDIANA SPIRIT QUEST #578

"Short Timers"

This quest will take you to Wood Cemetery located about 2 miles south of the Vigo County border, just off of Atherton Road next to Cox Ditch. The cemetery is located within Otter Creek Township. Amazingly enough this cemetery is well kept, even though I'm sure very few people even know of its existence. Unfortunately some of the markers have seen better days, but the majority of them are still in decent, readable condition.

Parking: There appears to be a lane between Cox Ditch and the adjacent field, BUT in order to keep the area nice, please park at the listed parking coordinates, which is a small spot with plenty of room to get off the road next to the bridge guard rails.
