A three-stage cache in Rest Haven Cemetery. Final is a small
cache, no room for trading items.
For all you travelers on Highway 29 looking for a short drive
off the main drag, here's your cache. To keep you nice and alert
for the remainder of your trip, we've added some math.
The posted coordinates will take you to the entry to the
cemetery. At those coordinates, you will find a fire number sign.
Those four numbers = A B C D.
To find the second stage, consider BC as a two-digit number. For
example, if B=9 and C=0, BC = 90. Subtract BC from the decimals of
the first stage latitude.
Now multiply C by 11. Take the result and subtract it from the
decimals of the first stage longitude. Now go find the second
stage.
At the second stage, you will see a grave marker, the only one
of its kind in the cemetery. On this marker is a date. Turn the
date into number form. For example, if the date is September 10,
2007, you would get 9 10 2007.
To find the final cache, add the number(s) of the month and all
four digits of the year together. Add this result to the decimals
of the second stage latitude. Now add the digits of the day of the
month. Subtract this result from the decimals of the second stage
longitude.
As a cemetery cache, the final cache is not located on or
connected to any grave site or marker. Please be respectful of the
cemetery, including those who now live there and those among the
living who might be paying their respects. If there are people at
the cemetery, consider trying the cache another time.
The WSQ in the cache title refers to Wisconsin Spirit Quest.
This acronym is used by cache owners in the state to identify their
cemetery caches.
