Geocache Description:

Located in the town of Fish Camp (formerly, Happy Camp and Berry's Fish Camp), this small town just south of Yosemite has lots of history. This old sign, which is visible only heading down the mountain (away from Yosemite), is a distant reminder of what was.

****8/13/2013 - Apparently a wasp has taken up residence somewhere near the cache and is being aggressive. Please use caution. ****

Located near an old billboard which once advertised the only hotel in town. Now the billboard is faded just like the old hotel (which went the way of ash's many years ago). The story goes that the hotel was originally built to replace a brothel/"speak easy" that also burned down sometime in the mid 30's. The concrete slap can be found across the street and a bit down hill from the sign. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO HIDE THE CACHE. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE IT IN THE OPEN. Thank you ~ Hawaiilovers
