Geocache Description:

If you are looking for a beautiful hike with a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, this is it. Towering cliffs, scenic streams, clear alpine lakes, grassy marshes, high meadows, interesting wildlife, great views and an unusual granite mesa - this one has it all!

Park at the PCT trailhead off of eastbound I80. There are several trails that will get you close, but the last segment will require a scramble off trail and up one or more (depending on your approach) granite ridges. An alternate approach would be to access a trail from Donner Pass (Highway 40).

The container is a wide mouth Nalgene water bottle with a screw top lid. It is packed tight - you may need to empty the entire container to see all the goodies and get the log book out of the bottle.

Wear your hiking boots, bring water, and check out all the beautiful vistas around the mesa. Have fun!
