Heritage Hike-Revived (Southbury) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cachebury Seekers: This spot is located close to the Pomperaug River. Caches get carried away or deposited elsewhere during a flood. When the original cache went missing, we thought we'd try a heavier ammo can. Apparently, that has disappeared, too. So this cache has now been archived.

Geocache Description:

This cache was originally "The Heritage Hike," maintained by terestenyi. Cachebury Seekers has adopted the cache and re-hidden an ammo box with lots of goodies and a new FTF prize (because of the renaming and change of ownership).

This area (Platt Farm) is part of the Southbury Land Trust.

Located on the scenic Flood Bridge Road, this tract was purchased from Willis and Lillian Platt in 2000.

The historic farm offers scenic vistas, vast meadows, a trap-rock ridge, and 2,000 feet of frontage along the Pomperaug River.

The parcel is ideal for hiking, nature study, fishing, birding, and picnicking.
