Geocache Description:

A cache to commemorate the finding and excavation of the Roman Villa at Walberton/Binsted. Access is easy and paths are flat.

The cache is easily accessible from off street parking nearby or at the village hall car park in Walberton Village. The Roman Villa excavations can be easily seen from the cache site.

The Villa was discovered by the farmer whilst ploughing his field. Numerous flints were thrown up and he then called in Worthing Archaeological Society Field unit who have been working on the site since.
