Hast du dich nicht schon immer gefragt, woher das Rosental seinen Namen hat? Diese Cacheserie mit dem Titel "Der Name der Rase" bringt dich (rasend :-) ) zu den Spuren der Ritter von Rase. Der Erzählung nach sind die Ritter von der Gratschenitzen über Schlatten nach Rosegg gekommen. Die Rasburg ist also der erste Teil der Cacheserie.
Have you ever wondered about the origin of the name "Rosental"? This chache series with the title "The Name of the Rase" will lead you to the vestiges of the knights of Rase. Narrations tell us that the knights came from the Gratschenitzen over Schlatten to Rosegg. "Rasburg" is the first part of the cache series.
Um auf die Rasburg zu gelangen stellst du dein Fahrzeug am besten in der Nähe von N46°31.990' E14°01.790' ab. Hier verläuft bereits der Wanderweg 20g auf die Rasburg und du findest wenige Meter Richtung Nordwesten bereits die erste Wegtafel. Die Burgruine ist nach ca. 1 Stunde bei gemütlichem Tempo erreichbar, unterwegs triffst du auf geschnitzte Holzfiguren. Die Burg selbst bietet einen fantastischen Ausblick ins Rasental (=Rosental).
Auf der (ehemaligen) Rasburg befindet sich eine große Tafel, die dir die Geschichte der Ritter näherbringt. Merke dir die Anzahl der Töchter, die der letzte Rudolf von Rase hinterlässt (=T). Diese Zahl benötigst du für den dritten Teil, "Der Name der Rase - Bonuscache" GC15W75.
For reaching the Rasburg please park your vehicle near N46°31.990' E14°01.790'. The hiking trail nr. 20g will lead you directly to the Rasburg, you will find the first sign some meters towards northwest. If you hike moderately you will be at the ruin in about one hour, passing gravened figures made of wood. The ruin itself features an excellent outlook over the "Rasental" (="Rosental").
At the ruin you will find a large panel telling the story of the knights. Remember the number of daughters of the last "Rudolf von Rase" and assign it to "T". You will need this number for the third part of the series,"Der Name der Rase - Bonuscache" GC15W75.
