Easy find at a fast food joint. It is camo'd not hidden. No need to
move any rocks or lift anything. It is not on the ground but it is
fairly low. It is not a skirtlifter.
Celebrate your find with a happy meal, or drown your DNF sorrows
in a McFlurry.
In 1954, 52-year-old salesman Ray Kroc was a distributor for
"Multimixer" milkshake machines when he came across the small
hamburger stand of Dick and Mac McDonald in San Bernardino,
California. The McDonald brothers didn't want to oversee any new
restaurants, so Kroc became their franchising agent. Kroc formed
the franchising company on March 2, 1955, under the name of
McDonald's System, Inc.
There are about 31,000 McDonald's worldwide.
On May 3, 2000, Dave Ulmer hid a bucket of trinkets in the woods
outside Portland, Oregon and announced its location on the
internet. Mike Teague was FTF, exclaiming "Woo-Hoo, there should be
like a special prize for FTF". Within days there were caches hidden
across the USA. On May 8, 2000, Teague made a Web site for
collecting the locations of caches.
There are almost 1 million geocaches worldwide.
Today these two global phenomena converge as McCache!
Takes 5 minutes or less. Watch out for cars at GZ. Street
parking very close, or free parking a few metres north of GZ at
Blockbuster Video. Easy, flat terrain.
They named one of their special BIG hamburgers after one of the
brothers. It's a good thing they didn't name it after the other
brother!
