A small tab lock box with the usual assortment of swaps.
As with Hairytoeman's cache "A place with a view" (GC151KZ) this is a small cache placed next to the road which should take no more than a few minutes to locate.
As with his, it is a spot I drove past by accident and knew it needed a cache.
The view from this spot is one of the most magnificent views of Belfast I have seen from any angle.
From the south east the view starts with Scrabo Tower and follows the lough around towards Belfast with the Mourne Mountains clearly visible in the distance beyond the city laid out below.
Continuing on round to the south west, the hills above Belfast line up and stretch off into the distance, Carnmoney Hill, Cave Hill, Divis and Black Mountain.
Further round to the east Lough Neagh comes into view, and on a good day, as I had, you can just make out the sperrins beyond it in the distance.
This is a cache which will only be properly appreciated on a good clear day, or perhaps on a good clear night. In bad weather it will be a boring cache and dash.
It can easily be done on the way to the other caches in the area at Knockagh Monument and Woodburn Forest.
