Il nome dell’evento, già svela quello che dovremo “affrontare”:
Il “Cibo degli Dei”, il CIOCCOLATO. Come ogni anno Perugia si
trasforma, in occasione della manifestazione EUROCHOCOLATE,
in una grande Cioccolateria all’aperto, dove è possibile trovare
ogni tipo di cioccolato ed in ogni forma: dalla tavoletta, alla
crema, dal martello alla vite ecc.. Avete capito quindi che cosa
avremo da fare… L’incontro è per sabato 13 ottobre, giorno
dell’apertura della manifestazione che durerà fino al 21.
Il punto di ritrovo è alle ore 10.00 presso, guarda caso,
l’Etruscan Chocohotel di Via Campo di Marte 134, da dove
proseguiremo verso il centro Città con le navette gratuite.
Per chi arriva in macchina, sia da Roma che da Firenze, l’uscita
della superstrada è “Perugia Prepo”; da qui in pochi minuti si
arriva all’albergo. La macchina può essere lasciata o davanti
all’hotel, se i posti sono disponibili, oppure al vicinissimo
parcheggio gratuito del Bove.
Altri parcheggi disponibili da cui è possibile raggiungere il
centro comodamente a piedi:
- Piazza Partigiani
- Piazzale Europa
- Briglie
Per coloro che non fanno in tempo ad arrivare al primo
appuntamento, è previsto un altro punto di ritrovo, alle ore
10.30 in Piazza IV Novembre. Quando saremo arrivati tutti e
dopo la registrazione con annessa sorpresa, partiremo alla scoperta
delle prelibatezze che la manifestazione ci presenterà. Durante la
ricerca della “tavoletta” migliore faremo una mini multicache che
ci permetterà di scoprire i posti più panoramici della città
vecchia. La mattinata si concluderà a pranzo. Il pomeriggio lo
utilizzeremo per chiacchierare delle nostre avventure “geocachiane”
e superare i postumi da sbronza cioccolatara. Chi invece volesse
continuare il giro…beh… in bocca al lupo.
Il giorno successivo non mancheranno le Sculture di Cioccolato,
evento simbolo e caratterizzante di ogni edizione del dolce
festival. Cinque enormi blocchi di cioccolato del peso di 11
quintali ciascuno verranno sapientemente scolpiti da altrettanti
scultori mentre le dolci scaglie della lavorazione arriveranno
dritte dritte in bocca ai golosi spettatori.
Per coloro che volessero arrivare il giorno precedente, vi prego
di segnalarmi quanto prima il numero di camere necessarie poiché,
dato il successo di Eurochocolate, gli alberghi sono sempre pieni.
Ho contattato comunque alcune strutture che hanno dato la
disponibilità di camere con time limit però a domenica 23
settembre.

6000 prodotti esposti agli stand del Chocolate Show e ai
tantissimi, divertenti e golosi eventi di animazione, troverete una
SORPRESA graditissima!!!

appositamente realizzati che ricorderanno l'evento.

The name of the event, already gives away what lies in store for
us: The “Food of the Gods”, CHOCOLATE. As every year, on the
occasion of the event EUROCHOCOLATE, Perugia becomes a great
outdoor Chocolate factory, where chocolate can be found in all
shapes and forms: from bars and cream, to hammers and screws etc..
So you see what we have to do… The meeting is on Saturday 13
October, the day the event opens, which ends on 21.
The meeting, at 10.00 am, is to be held, surprise
surprise, in the Etruscan Chocohotel in Via Campo di Marte 134, and
from here, we will head on to the City Centre using the free
shuttle service.
For those coming by car from Rome and Florence, the motorway
exit is “Perugia Prepo”; which takes you to the hotel in just a few
minutes. You can leave your car either in front of the hotel, if
spaces are available, or at the nearby Bove car park, which is
free.
Other car parks available, which allow you to reach the centre
on foot easily:

A second meeting is planned for those who can’t make it to the
first one, at 10.30 am in Piazza IV Novembre. When everyone
has arrived and after registration, which includes a surprise, we
shall set off in search of the delights on offer to us at the
event. During the search for the best “bar” there will be a mini
multi-cache, which will enable us to discover the most scenic parts
of the old town. The morning will be rounded off with lunch in a
local restaurant. Arrangements are currently being finalised and
will be announced, again on this page, at a later date. The
afternoon will be spent chatting about our “geocaching” adventures
and recovering from our chocolate hangover. While those who wish to
continue the tour…well… good luck.
Next day there won’t be a lack of Chocolate Sculptures, an event
that symbolises and characterises every edition of the sweet
festival. Five great blocks of chocolate weighing 1100 kg each,
will be sculpted expertly by just as many sculptors, while the
sweet leftover flakes will end up straight in the mouths of the
greedy spectators.
Would those who wish to come the day before please let me know
the number of rooms needed as soon as possible, because the hotels
are always full due to the success of Eurochocolate. I have
contacted a number of places, which have offered rooms, but there
is a time limit until Sunday 23 September.
I look forward to seeing you all in Perugia, and wish to
announce that besides the over 6000 products displayed on the
stands at the Chocolate Show, and the countless fun and
mouth-watering recreational activities, there will also be a
wonderful SURPRISE!!!
