A lacuna is an empty space or a missing part; a gap.

This cache is dedicated to all of the dead ends and shortcuts turned long and wrong and to all the times your mapping software said there was a through road, but there wasn't.
Admittedly, my mapping software got this one right, for once, but this road serves as a nice example of a lacuna.
May your days be filled with happy hunting, be it the short road or the long.
