The Grand Union Canal links Birmingham to London with a waterway which is 145 miles long and contains 166 locks. This cache is one of a series to be found along or close to the Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire stretch of the canal.

You can approach this cache by walking along the canal towpath through the cutting, which is deep, tree lined and teeming with many wild birds, or else for the terminally lazy or cache and dashers, there is limited parking by the bridge. If you do drive in, the approach on Marshcroft Lane takes you past a brilliant topiary of a steam train.
The cache is situated off a footpath that runs parallel to the cutting along the top, you do not need to do any climbing but please take care when looking for this cache due to proximity to a very steep bank, and there is no rail!!

As this cache has been muggled once already, please make sure that no muggles see you with the cache and pretty please do a good re-hiding job to avoid a repeat muggling. This is a busy spot with dog walkers. Thanks. You are looking for a tube about 7 inches by 3 inches.
