Geocache Description:

This is a cache based on Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events Book Thirteen: The End

If you enjoy finding caches that involve fun, happy themes, you would be better off throwing your GPS into the sea and finding a new hobby than seeking out the caches in this series. This cache is the thirteenth and last in A Series of Unfortunate Caches that are inspired by Lemony Snicket’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events” books. If you are unfortunate enough to have already read the series of books, you will know what we are talking about.

This cache is based on The End, in which the Baudelaire children’s misadventures continue as they finally arrive at a safe place, or is it? The only fortunate thing about this cache is that it is the final one in the series. Be on the lookout for a 6 inch high cylinder about 2.5 inches in diameter that is hidden in a specially crafted location. With any luck you can avoid stumbling over this cache.

Now that this series is complete, we are planning to schedule an event cache to console the unfortunate cachers who have somehow stumbled onto the caches in this series. We’ve been keeping track of the misery, and it is really sad to see, but you can check it out by following the "User's Web Page" link near the top of this cache description. At the event, if anyone offers you a “coconut cordial”, pour it in the fern when nobody is looking. The first finder will find a special device that could lead to a solution for our “Time For A New Puzzle” cache. The cache also starts with a Red Jeep TB, and a USB thumb-drive and some other junk.

In the fall, yellow-jackets are attracted to rotting fruit such as fallen apples. Please do not search under the apple trees--the cache is elsewhere.
