Geocache Description:

1 cache along a nice trail in the King county Water Works garden in Renton.

I would like to state that this cache has been approved by the grounds keeper who maintains this park. He helped me in the placement of it. We had a second cache but it keeps getting vandlized so we removed it. Please just stay on the grassy areas only. the water running through this park is only " RAIN RUNOFF from the roads around the plant. IT IS NOT WASTEWATER FROM THE TREATMENT PLANT".
Thank you
We placed a this cache along the trail in this beautiful park. The trial can be entered from 3 locations around its perimeter on Monster rd or Oaksdale rd. There are 5 differnt garden spaces for visitors to wonder through. Each of these gardens are part of a water purification system. Storm water is put in a pond at the top in which the sediments and pollutants start to settle. Most of the time the water is just circulated back from the bottom and is not sewage water from the treatment plant. the plant life thrives on the stuff. The water then goes through 10 more ponds and then it flows into a wetlands where it is filtered even more before it flow into Springbrook creek clean and clear. There is 2 pieces of artwork, The first is at the top Called the "Knoll" where the water enters the system and the other is called the "Grotto".The round trip hike is about a mile. We will start this hunt at the "Knoll" and go down hill from there. Have fun and enjoy.
