The cache's title is somewhat of a mystery. Perhaps it refers to the step over a puddle that I needed to take when I hiked this area a couple of weeks ago; it could be that I had several Giants baseball cards to leave in the cache; then again it might have something to do with Taj Mahal's version of the old Monkee's song (written by Carole King).
I noticed on the map that this fire road went in and out of MMWD land and I decided to add one more cache in the area to encourage people to come out this way. Its just a random spot along the road, determined mostly by how much time I had to walk the dog.
This could have been a four-star hide (that I would have had to blame on J5), but in the end it was placed around 30 feet off the fire road. My gpsr showed a 20-foot accuracy, but it is a wooded area. So if you come to a spot in the road where there might be a puddle, you have gone way too far. If you are off to the left, you might be on the wrong side of the road . And if you are looking through ferns or brush and don't see an obvious place to hide a cache without tearing up the landscape, you are looking in the wrong spot. SOD has swept through the area since I first placed the cache, but there is a route to the location that is remarkably clear. And if that does not work, you can try the hint.
