This is a new type of cache to the area, a night cache it would be near impossible to find it in the daylight. The above coordinates will not take you to the cache but to the beginning of the quest and where you should park. To find the cache use the story and guidance below.
My uncle Orin Stonebreaker was trying to get me in trouble again.
"Come on now Laddiebuck I know you aren't doing anything this weekend a little quest will do you good." he said.
"The last time you sent me on one of these I smelled like skunk for two weeks after being attacked by gnomes."
"You're just mad because your wife made you sleep in the shop for a week. This will be much easier. It seems that a couple of hundred years ago a cousin of mine was running around the woods with a hobbit when he gets himself bitten and trussed up by a giant spider. Well, his crew got him loose but he managed to leave behind an entire pouch full of gems. He swears that he marked the trail with fangs from the vanquished bug...and that the fangs will glow when you shine a light on them. We're to go get his gems back."
" If it's that easy why hasn't he gone back himself?"
" Well... the venom's left him a little touched and he's still spooked about the whole area. He keeps saying that after you cross the bridge into Mirkwood the forest is evil and that where the pouch is hidden even the trees have teeth."
"I think I'll take pass on this one Orin."
"Oh come on!! You're much smarter and tougher then he is. I mean he went dragon hunting with a hobbit named Baggins, please. We can do this easy"
So this is your Quest go to the above cordinates and use your flashlights to follow the trail of glowing fangs to Mirkwood. The trail is well trodden but the marks lead the way. Once you cross into Mirkwood follow the marks to your ultimate goal and glory.
Ok some good sense hints:
1. leave a cache plan or go with friends.
2. take a second flashlight and spare batteries,in testing, the bluelight put out by some LED's doesn't show up as well as white light.
3. mark the car.
4. no...REALLY mark the car.
5. take a cell phone, just in case.
6. do not attempt this cache in inclement weather or when bad weather is rolling expected.
7. total distance is less than half a mile.
