Geocache Description:


We will be cleaning up an area along the Hockanum River in Manchester as part of a large statewide effort to clean up our waterways. Please meet on Sat. Sept 29th at 10 am at the posted coords which is the Laurel Marsh Parking area. We will then divide and conquer some trash!

A note about the Hockanum River:
The Hockanum River flows in a very winding course for 25 miles for the Shenipsit Resorvoir through the four towns of Ellington, Vernon, Manchester, and East Hartford to empty into the CT River just north of the Charter Oak bridge. The Hockanum River Canoe Race is a fun event held along the river every spring.
