Mass. Hysteria Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Greatland Reviewer: Hello:

Time for some Spring clean-up before the mosquitoes hatch and the tourists arrive.

This cache page has been archived due to the lack of a timely response to a prior Reviewer Note and/or because the Cache Owner has not been online for several months. If the owner would like to have it reinstated, please contact me through my profile as soon as possible before another cache gets placed nearby.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page requires it to go through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Forget the above coordinates, they're incorrect. However, you merely need to answer a few questions to get the correct coordinates to the cache location. Once you have them, the find should be fairly quick. The answers can all be found online.

This is a cache themed after my home state of Massachusetts, a place I miss in the fall when the leaves are changing color everywhere, and the scenery is unbelievably beautiful. But other than in the fall, there's no place I'd rather be than in Alaska - well, except maybe around February, and March....

The following are trivia questions that relate to Massachusetts, past and present, and the answers go as follows:

N61 AB.CDE W149 FG.HIJ

A = the last digit in the year Massachusetts was admitted into statehood, minus 8

B =the number of states that make up New England, times 3, divided by 2.

C= the middle digit in the area code for Chicopee, Mass.

D= The number of letters in the name of the state that borders Massachusetts, to the Northwest.

E= The third digit in the year the Mayflower landed in Plymouth.

FG = Jay Leno, who grew up in Andover, Mass., was born in 19__. This number minus 6.

HI = the last two digits in the year FLYRFN’s least favorite NHL hockey team (even though he’s also from Massachusetts) played their first game, minus 1.

J = A trail I hope to cache along in the near future, the Appalachian, consists of this many miles in Massachusetts only, divided by 10.

CONGRATULATIONS MALCORE – FTF!
