Balade dans le Hochwald

Brissetischekopf

This is a moderate stroll through the magnificent area of "le Hochwald".

The 8th Take A Hike multicache is situated in a very impressive region. It is one of my most favourite hiking places with magnificent views, lots of nature and nice slopes. At every time of the year this forest will give you a different impression and ... in some way you'll never get enough of it.

Starting at the "Col du Pigeonnier", where you can park your car, this hike will show you a small but impressive part of the "Hochwald".

From the start please go to WP1 (N49°01.311 E007°52.792)

WP1:
At this waypoint you will see a sign with the number of the "GR" you are on. Please note this number for A.
Proceed to WP2 (N49°01.171 E007°52.520).

WP2:
From WP2 you can see 2 signs with a number on it. Assign the lower number to B and the higher one to C.
Proceed to WP3: "Col du Luchsenkopf" (N49°00.856 E007°52.201).

WP3, "Col du Luchsenkopf":
At the "Col du Luchsenkopf" assign D with the shortest amount of minutes to the "Col du Pigeonnier".
Also assign E with the amount of minutes to "Eselsberg".
The next waypoint (the "Brissetischkopf") is: N49 00.(A+C+D+E-C/8) E7 52.(D+E+D/9)

WP4, "Brissetischkopf":
Enjoy this interesting place and think of the final cache location.
To calculate the final coordinates for the cache,first look at the front side of the stone. You'll find here 3 letters.
Assign their respective number in the alphabeth (A=1, B=2, ... ) to F, G and H.
You'll find the final at N49 00.(A+C+F+G+H+2) E7 52.(B+G+2*F).
