First in the Dalles - California Highway Series
In a bygone era, a trip along The Dalles - California highway wasn't complete unless you stopped at the C&C gas station, owned by Chester and Clarence Bansch. Closed in the early 1940's, the orginal building was left standing until the progress of the mid 1950's, when it was leveled and the land back filled. One of the trees still stands at this location, notice that the bark has been covered with several feet of dirt. This cache is in a medium sized cache container, and has 2 TB's, first aid kit, pedometer, silly straw, etc... Look for more in the DCHS to come!! No Need to climb The hill !!!!!
