Near Rheinstor rocks, Bradford dale
Rheinstor View 2 replaces the original Rheinstor View, now sadly archived.
Deep in the dale below Youlgrave is the River Bradford, a tinkling ribbon of clear water that is like the glittering hem of the village’s graceful robes. For generations, young feet have paddled in it and the dippers and water voles have made their homes beside it.
Along the bank is a wide and accessible public footpath, running almost two miles between Alport and Middleton, and as you progress upstream the open meadows give way to boulder-strewn screes and towering crags, interspersed with luxurious mixed woodland.
This is a special place, this is the Derbyshire Dales
