Geocache Description:

**The listed coordinates are not for the final cache**
To find the cache, you must figure out the clues below.
The cache is a green ammo box.

This cache will take you to one of the oldest cemeteries in Hickory, NC. Many prominent locals are buried there as well as many soldiers from all wars. Please respect the graves.

The end coordinates are:
N 35 4A.BCD
W 081 20.5EF

To find the numbers the letters represent, read below.

A ~ The listed coordinates bring you to a grave site for Earl Icenhour, both a Reverend and a Doctor. "A" represents the last number in his death year.

B ~ Go to N 35 44.344, W 081 20.507. This will bring you to the grave marker for Robert F. Jones. A young man who enlisted to fight in WWI and died when only 16 years old. "B" represents the number for the month he died in.

C & F~ Go to N 35 44.303, W 081 20.546. This will bring you to the grave marker for Col. Clinton Cilley. A Union Col. who, on Sept. 9, 1863 took his regiment's colors from a dieing comrade & marched the troops back into battle. He received a Medal of Honor for this. "C" represents the day in May that he died. "F" represents the month he was born in.

D ~ Go to N 35 44.323, W 081 20.578. This will bring you to the grave of Dr. J.T. Johnson. At age 24, when he enlisted in the confederacy, he had been a practicing physician for a few years in Catawba County. "D" represents the last number in his birth year.

E ~ Go to N 35 44.296, W. 081 20.565. This will bring you to the grave site of Abel A. Shuford. He was wounded and captured by the Union on the first day of fighting at Gettysburg. "E" represents the 2nd number in his birth year.
