Geocache Description:

This is the sixth and final in a series of caches we placed between Wentworth Springs Road and University Falls. There are six caches that will lead you along a path to the falls. Each gets progressively larger as you progress on your "educational" path. “University” is a large cammoed ammo can. Many thanks to Calkids for joining us on our exploration of the Falls!

CAUTION: You'll have to cross Pilot Creek to reach this cache and the lower falls. Be very cautious in the spring or during heavy runoff. Use the trailhead waypoint to find a narrow dirt trail up to a road. Cross the road, and look for the cache near the crest of the small side turnout.

University Falls, also known as Pilot Creek Falls, is a popular swimming area north of Quintette. The round trip hike is approximately 5.6 miles, with an approximate elevation change of 650 feet. The trail is a wide, smooth road from Wentworth Springs Road to the turn above "Middle School." From there you'll moderately descend to a flume, where the trail is level until you bear left to "High School." Just beyond there the descent steepens, and the path narrows to a rocky trail. When you reach Pilot Creek, head downstream to reach the falls.
