Geocache Description:

Lake Tahoe Scenic Overlook.

Welcome to the muggle pitstop on the Mt Rose Highway. From here you can watch as the ever present muggles pull up to the scenic overlook, hop out of their SUV, luxury vehicle or rental car, then stare out over Tahoe, take a single photo (maybe more), then return to their vehicle and slam on the gas pedal to return to the race. It reminds me of the Chinese fire drills we used to do in high school! Park away from the monument and enjoy the people watching opportunity. It will not disappoint. The cache is a Nalgene bottle with good camo. It is dangerously close to the monument, but nobody really seems to care about what you are doing at the cache location. It is also hard to see you at the hiding spot. Still, please be aware of the obvious muggles. The cache should be available year round and contains a logbook, pen, cache note, and lots of miscellaneous swag. Let's keep it that way please. Cache in, trash out...
