Underneath a dead log.
The container is 2l in size and countains all sorts of goodies to trade. The cache is located next to the road called the Forest Drive, situated in the woodbush forest.
Apart from geocaching, Jakkals en Eendjie are eager birdwatchers. This road is excellent to look for forest birds, however, sunrise is the time to do it. It is absolutely wonderful to hear the forest wake-up with all the sounds and smells of the forest.
The Cape Parrot is a near extinct bird that are found in this natural forest. According to the latest sensus there are less than 600 left in South Africa. Experts are of the opinion that there are about 60 pairs left in this forest.
If you rise early and be at this spot before sunrise, and if you are lucky, you might be of the fortunate people to see this lovely bird in its natural habitat. On the day, we were one of the lucky ones. WE SAW 6. An absolute highlite of our birding adventures.
