Geocache Description:

This earth cache is located along a local hiking and crossing ski trail system.

This type of geological formation was formed by blocks of ice that separated from a glacier as it retreated or maybe blocks of ice that were washed out from the glacier during a glacier flood. These blocks of ice are then partially or wholly buried in outwash (sediment left by the glacier). When the blocks of ice melt they leave behind holes or depressions in the earth. Some of these holes can form lakes if they fill with water.

To claim this cache please e-mail the name of this geologic formation. It will be obvious where you can obtain this information. Also post a photo of the area with your GPS.
