Geocache Description:

This cache is intended for more than one person, and should be visited at night. Do not attempt this geocache solo.

Welcome to BFL Boot Camp II

This cache is placed to make the point that one should NEVER cache at night by themselves. So, I've developed a cache that requires a minimum of two people to visit. Ideally, you want to have FOUR people to visit this cache, as your group will split up and relay information to each other.

At the posted co-ordinates you will find two pairs of reflectors... orange and white. Each reflector represents a trail for PART of your group to follow. Follow the reflectors until you arrive at a spot that has four reflectors in your colour.

This location will mark a rope (fishing line) that is attached to a bird house. Your instructions are simple. Pull on the rope (GENTLY) to open the bird house and reveal the coded information inside. The only problem is the bird house will not show YOU this information.... you will need to have your team mates shine their BFL at the birdhouse and note the code. They will then pull on their rope and it is your turn to shine your BFL at them and note the coded information.

Now that you have the code, simply look it up in the following table:

WWWW 0.000 WRWW 0.987
WRRW 1.001 WRRR 0.033
RWWW 0.655 RRWW 0.707
RRRW 0.011 RRRR 1.302
WRWR 0.436 RWRW 0.025

Using the table above, take the code VIEWED FROM the ORANGE trail (as in the code in the birdhouse at the end of the white trail), and add the number to the north co-ordinates of the posted co-ordinates

Now take the code VIEWED FROM the end of WHITE trail (as in the code in the birdhouse at the end of the orange trail), and subtract this number from the posted co-ordinates.

The cache final is a medium size ammo box. Once you locate it, be sure to get the information using the DECODER CARD if you are planning to visit the BFL Bootcamp II final cache.

Cache Notes:
  • The cache is designed for a minimum of TWO people
  • Attempting this cache solo, and doing things like climbing trees would be idiotic in this location, please don't do it. At best you will ruin the cache, at worst you will hurt yourself!
  • Do not pull hard on the fishing line, or you will break the cache.

I hope you have as much fun seeking this cache as I had designing and placing it.
