THERE IS NO CACHE AT THE ABOVE CO-ORDINATES.
This is the re-incarnation of the 3rd 'leg' of the Doggie Playgrounds series.
The posted co-ordinates take you to the head of the nearby section of the Forest Capital Trail. Study this sign and two others (waypoints below) on the off-leash granular trail (not the nearby paved path that is the former Keillor Road) and use the information to solve the puzzle below. There is another sign at the start of the dirt trail that warns of a trail closure, but the actual closure is way beyond the actual location of the cache at the Keillor road washout.
Forest Capital Trail:
X = the two-digit day of the proclamation
Edmonton's Founders Had A Vision:
Y = the number of digits visible on the hands of the yellow dude
Edmonton's First Recycling Program:
EDIT: This sign is gone now. Z = 5
Proceed east along the Forest Capital Trail until you are at a distance of (X*Y*Z)-309m from the posted co-ordinates (i.e. lock your GPSr on the posted co-ords). The cache will be in an obvious location just off the trail.
The trail is a little narrow next to steep slopes in places, so watch out if you have clumsy puppies or kids (or if you yourself are clumsy!). Cachers who previously found the original "Doggie Playgrounds 3" are welcome to log new finds on this cache. In the log, let us know something about the 4-legged friends who helped you search.
