Geocache Description:

A Wherigo cache which will take you on a short walk around the centre of the historic Warwickshire market town of Alcester

Access the Wherigo cartridge via the User's Web Page link or here

The main co-ordinates are suggested parking.

Alcester (pronounced 'olster') is a small town in South Warwickshire, England, situated approximately eight miles west of Stratford-upon-Avon.

The town is located on the Heart of England Way so the locals are used to visitors in hiking boots wandering around the streets - useful if you want to combine this cache with some of our other excellent caches while in the area.

Please ensure you have the latest version of the cartridge downloaded before attempting this this cache.

Minor note: we have tested this many times 'on the ground' and the zones detection seems to vary each time. This is probably due to a poor signal in the narrow streets...

When you find the final cache, there is a code in the logbook. You will need to enter this code in the Wherigo (a picture of the tub will appear in the inventory). This will then mark the cartridge as complete, so the logfile can be uploaded to the Wherigo site. It should also display a second code which is the Wherigo unlock code
Hope this makes sense!

Tested on Mio P550 and Garmin Oregon 300

This cartridge does NOT work correctly on the iPhone WherPiGo player!
(Well it didn't when we tried it in 2009. It might work with the newer versions of the player)

IMPORTANT!
At some point in the walk you may or may not be asked to enter the name of a month.
The physical plaque appears to be missing at the moment.
The answer may or may not be 'February'

Also important!
23/4/2012: Please do not leave any trackables in this cache in case it goes missing again
