Der "Egger Riese" wurde in der vorletzten Eiszeit vor mehr als 180.000 Jahren aus Norwegen in einem Gletscher in der Nähe des jetzigen Standortes angespült. An einer Seite des ca. 35 Tonnen schweren Findlings kann man noch die Schleifspuren des Eises erkennen.
Die Runde ist nicht sehr lang und dauert ungefähr 30 Minuten. Momentan wird in dem Wald sehr stark abgeholzt und an einigen Stellen sieht es nicht sehr schön aus. Wir haben aber beschlossen, die Runde und den Cache so zu belassen, wie wir ihn in 2007 gelegt hatten.

English translation: The "Egger Riese" (Egger Giant) is an erratic block carried away from Norway in a glacier to the current place 180.000 years ago. The rock has a height of 3,70 metres and a weight of about 35 tons.
The tour is not very long and takes about 30 minutes. Because they're doing some forrest operations since a few months, some corners are not very beautiful at the moment. But we decided to keep the tour and the cache like it was in 2007, when we placed it.
