Pirates Treasure: Water Front View (Aqualate Mere) Traditional Cache

This cache is a short walk from "Aqualate Mere 1 - Every Journey has a First Step" - GC161MG - you shold be able to get them both in under 30 minutes - designed as a lunch time stroll and 2 finds under your belt. Its just off the A41 in Newport. Parking is in a long layby that will fit about 10 cars, north bound on the A41 just after the Mere Park roundabout.

Just continue on the footpath from "Aqualate Mere 1 - Every Journey has a First Step" - GC161MG(You pick up the start of the trail from the layby at the huge green concrete block). Go past the little bridge and stream, sticking to the main paths. When you reach the main canal, you want to take the left hand trail (so the canal is on your right)

The cache was muggled and replaced on 6th November. It is now a small round container, which holds the log book and a few small swaps. Room for small TB's only. Whilst parking is just off the busy A41, the trail is well away from any roads so quite child safe.

This is in a lovely water side location, very popular with dog walkers and fisherman. Please rehide the cache carefully, as its hiding place is quite exposed.
